TIPS FOR YOUR TRAVEL TO BANGKOK
Travel Tip # 1:Have some Thai Baht changed while still in the Philippines. However, upon disembarking and after checking out from immigration, you can readily see professional money changers in the airport.
Travel Tip #2: As much as possible, have your hotel name written in Thai. English is not as commonly spoken, so it is easier to get around if you show them your hotel address. You can ask for help from tour desks in the airport to write down your hotel name for you. That said, if you bought a hassle-free package, no need to fret because our representative will meet you with a signage with your name on it.
Travel Tip # 3: Bring an extra bag for your shopping finds. Attention ladies: There is a big change you WILL get excited and go into a shopping mania! Don’t say we warned you. Bangkok is a good place to shop for clothes, whether at the mall or at markets like Chatuchak.
Travel Tip # 4: Don’t be afraid to try new cuisine when in Thailand. Thai food is globally among the most prolific, and it would be a sad day if you go to Bangkok without even trying authentic tom yum, thai curry dishes and egg rolls. For the more adventurous, look for the street which sells fried insects. Bon appetit!
Travel Tip # 5: Learn a Thai phrase or two. Sawadee kha is a good start. This means hello, and is used of a gentlemen is the one saying it. (If it’s a lady, it’s sawadee khrap). Thank you is kop kun kha (females: kop kun khrap). Delicious in Thai is aroi. Thank us for this with yummy Thai egg rolls when you get back.
