Dumaguete Tour Package Option #1: 3D2N DUMAGUETE BASICS TOUR

Day 1 – Arrive Dumaguete airport located in Sibulan. It only takes less than 15 minutes to get from Sibulan to your hotel in Dumaguete. Standard check-in time is normally at 1400H. Overnight.

Day 2 – Breakfast at hotel (if applicable). Tour Dumaguete City in 3 to 4 hours by visiting Silliman University and take in idyllic living when you go to Rizal Boulevard, which gives you a good view of the open sea and where at night you can pick and choose a restaurant to dine and hang out in. Proceed to Sidlakang Negros, which is a good place to visit if you do not have time to go around and cover all the spots in the province Sidlakang Negros has booths featuring the various municipalities of Negros Oriental. Munch on a heavenly piece of sylvanna and perhaps a serving of fried ice cream while you go around the Cathedral Church, Dumaguete Quezon Park, Macias Spots a Complex and the Dumaguete Freedom Park fronting the Provincial Capitol. The rest of the day is free-and-easy at your own leisure, unless you want to head over to the next town called Valencia to see the Sulphur Vents of Mount Talinis and to visit Tierra Alta.

Day 3 – Depart Dumaguete. End of your short and sweet vacation; which should not be your last. Dumaguete and the whole of Negros is one big place waiting to be explored and discovered.



Dumaguete Tour Package Option #2: 3D2N SCENIC DUMAGUETE AND SIQUJOR TOUR PACKAGE

Day 1 – Arrive Dumaguete airport located in Sibulan. Make sure you get an early trip to Dumaguete so that you can have your city tour upon arrival. Please refer to Dumaguete Tour Package Option #1 for the various spots to see in Dumaguete City.

Day 2 – Breakfast at hotel (if applicable). Head to the pier for a unique adventure to Mystic Siquijor. It normally takes 1 hour to travel from Dumaguete to Siquijor by ferry boat. When you get to Siquijor, do the coastal tour and get to see a 400 year old Balete Tree. Tour the whole island and visit the San Juan de Capilay Lake, a spring-fed swimming pool where locals want to cool down when it’s hot. Be awed by the imposing St. Isidore Church and Convent in Lazi. The convent and church is the among the oldest in Asia and is considered a national landmark. The best view by far though is when you visit the town of Enrique Villanueva, where mountains, sea, and sky converge. Visit some of the beaches in Siquijor, the most popular of which is the Salagdoong Beach Resort. Before going back to Dumaguete, head on over to Triad Café, located on top of a hill. Merienda is just very simple, but the view is what you really come up for. Head back to Dumaguete and again travel for an hour. For those who have more time to spare, we suggest staying overnight at one of Siquijor’s lovely beach resorts. We are sure you will love its clear, untouched waters and white sandy shores.

Day 3 – Depart Dumaguete. Next time, try an adventure tour around Negros.



Dumaguete Tour Package Option #3: 4D3N DUMAGUETE NATURE LOVER TOUR

Day 1 – Arrive Dumaguete airport located in Sibulan. If you happen to book an early flight, then you have time to go around the city. Ladies should try to visit local malls like Cang’s and Lee’s Super Plaza. Good deals and fashion finds await! (Sorry, gentlemen, we just had to tell the girls)

Day 2 – Breakfast at hotel (if applicable). Day 2 of your vacation will be designated for the Dumaguete Twin Lakes Tour and Mabinay Caves. The Twin Lakes called Lake Balinsasayao and Lake Danao are located in Sibulan. It’s not right on the road side, so gear up for an off-road tour for sure to delight the nature-lover in you. Visit Mabinay Caves after the Twin Lakes. There’s no spelunking involved, but you will still love the various formations inside the cave formed by the stalactites and stalagmites. Back to the city, where you relax at your hotel or go for a night-out in Rizal Boulevard’s many restaurants.

Day 3 – Breakfast at hotel (if applicable). Day 3 is the day you get all wet Dauin! Go snorkelling in this municipality off Dumaguete. Swim to your hearts content; but save some energy as your afternoon will be spent going to Lake Balanan. Lake Balanan is an equally famous lake in Negros, though it is not part of the Twin Lakes. It features an impressive collection of fauna and flora. Back to the city. Pass by for some pasalubongs like silvannas, sans rivals and the like to bring back home. Bacolod’s delicacies may also be bought in malls in Dumaguete so you can have your stash of piayayas and napoleones bars too.

Dumaguete Tour Package Option #4: 4D3N DUMAGUETE SEA TURTLE AND WHALESHARK FUN TOUR PACKAGE

Day 1 – Arrive Dumaguete airport located in Sibulan. If you happen to book an early flight, then you have time to go around the city. Don’t buy your souvenirs just yet, which would in all likelihood consist of Dumaguete delicacies. Save this for your third or last day so you get these goodies back home fresh.

Day 2 – Breakfast at hotel (if applicable). Day 2 is all about snorkelling and sea turtles. This tour will take you to Apo Island, famous for snorkelling and diving spots. Those who wish to dive must inform our travel agency ahead of time, so we can check on gear and dive master availability.

Day 3 – Breakfast at hotel (if applicable). Go out-of-town to southern Cebu, particularly Oslob. Interact with the whalesharks (locally known as Butandings), friendly, gentle giants that will surely capture your heart (figuratively, of course). This is the tour package where you dare not leave your underwater camceras behind. The tour is very short, and it leaves you time in the afternoon to do a short City Tour or shop for pasalubongs.

HOW TO GET TO DUMAGUETE

Flights to Dumaguete

There are daily flights from Manila to Dumaguete as well as daily flights from Cebu to Dumaguete. Flights from Manila to Dumaguete take approximately one hour, while flights from Cebu to Dumaguete take 30 minutes or so, not even enough for a decent shut-eye! The direct flight from Cebu to Dumaguete is perhaps taken by those who want to maximize their time in and around Negros; or those who may get easily seasick because boat ride from Tagbilaran to Dumaguete can get pretty wild due to the open seas.

Boat Rides and land trips to Dumaguete

Dumaguete is accessible from Cebu, Boho,l Dapitan and Siquijor by boat. There are fast crafts and slow ferries that ply the routes daily. For those coming from Cebu, another option would be to take a landtrip from Cebu City to Liloan in Oslob. The land trip takes 3 to 4 hours. You can either rent a private car or van, or take the public transportation for this. The ride while long is pleasant, as you get to see southern Cebu, its heritage churches, and also enjoy a panoramic view when driving through the coastal towns. Of course, there’s that chance to buy famous Cebuano delicacies along the way as well like chicharon, ampao, bocarillo and torta. From Liloan, you only need to take 20 to 30 minutes ferry ride and you will reach Sibulan, the very same municipality where the Dumaguete Airport is located. Of course, Dumaguete is also connected by land to all places in Negros Occidental like Bacolod City.
