Visiting Russia easier for Filipinos

Russia visa for Filipinos

Philippine passport holders can now visit Russia much more easily as Russia’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved the regulations for electronic single entry visas on 2021 onwards. This was revealed late October 2020. This was also relayed by the Russian Embassy in the Philippines. Filipinos are among the 52 nationalities included in the new directive.

Previously, it may be noted that Russia already relaxed some visa regulations for Filipinos who were allowed to enter the country through checkpoints in the Far Eastern Federal District, St Petersburg and the Leningrad and Kaliningrad regions for a maximum of 8 days. Come 2021, the e-visa will be applicable throughout Russia and the validity has been extended to 16 days. Filipinos and other nationalities under the directive can enter Russia via especially equipped checkpoints in many regions in the country.

You'd like to know:

(1) Applications for electronic visas can be submitted on a special website of the Foreign Ministry or via a mobile application.

(3) Cost: USD40 per person, free for children under 6 years old

(4) Application/processing will take up to 4 working days.

(5) Visa validity will be 60 days from the time of issuance.
